Chemical polishing

Chemical polishing is similar to electrolytic polishing. It is a method of removing wear scars and leveling by the selective dissolution of the uneven areas of the sample surface by the chemical etching of chemical reagents. Chemical polishing can be used as a pretreatment process for electroplating, and can also be used directly after polishing with the necessary protective measures.

The disadvantage is that the polishing quality is not as good as that of electrolytic polishing. The polishing solution used has a short service life and is difficult to adjust and regenerate.
